  4. Hello,

After watching multiple episodes of the Shark Tank, I most wanted the opportunity to present Kevin Harrington with my invention for a licensing agreement.

I am a Canadian PGA golf professional with a good golf product invention that I conceived of in May of 2009. This idea will not be found on my website stated above but I have begun the invention process with a company named, Invention Home at http://www.inventionhome.com.

Invention Home hired a company to do a patent search on my behalf. The results showed that my idea was not completely unique and that their are a few patents that are similar but not exactly like mine. My product is better than the current patents in that it offers unique benefits, is more functional and is easier to use. To date I have not found a product on the market that provides what my invention offers.

I have not yet decided whether to continue with Invention Home in the areas of filing a provisional patent application with the USPTO and signing an agreement to give them 20% of licensing fees that they would negotiate for on my behalf. My first question is, is filing for a provisional patent application a better way to go than filing for a full patent?

I currently have clear descriptions and very clear and colorful illustrations of my invention from multiple angles. My second question is, can I show Kevin Harrington my invention in confidence?

    Thank you
    Mark G. Kuhn
